CASEC, the Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics Encoding Committee responsible for
the creation of a standard for syllabic code set for computer use, has been
given funds to hold its membership meeting. The tentative dates for this
meeting are May 19-20 in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada).

Submissions for character set inclusions as well as keyboard layouts presently
in use (for both syllabics and "hard-to-construct" roman characters) should be
sent to the following address (or faxed) BEFORE APRIL 15, 1993.
