History of Indigenous Peoples

NativeNet Mailing Lists are no longer active

NativeNet has for the past several years operated a number of electronic mailing lists, including some that are temporarily suspended due to technical and administrative problems (but for which archives exist), on the subjects of education, language and health of Native people of all parts of the world. As of November, 1998, the following new lists have been created, mainly to provide a home for several mailing lists that had formerly been operated under the name AISESnet:

  1. NativeNet Academics (nn-academics, old pages)

The focus of this mailing list is academic issues faced by Native students and faculty. It is also used to post conference and scholarship announcements, program announcements, and any other materials relating to higher education issues involving Native people. This list is intended to function as a replacement for the AISESnet General list. Questions for AISES headquarters should be submitted to AISES directly.

  2. NativeNet Dialogue (nn-dialogue, old pages)

This mailing list is used to provide a forum for conversation about issues which are not appropriate for the NativeNet Academics list. This list is intended to function as a replacement for the AISESnet Discussion list.

  3. NativeNet Pow Wow (nn-powwow, old pages)

This mailing list is used to provide a forum for pow wow announcements, discussions relating to pow wows, drum groups, etc.
